Fabrizio Ottoni Limena has worked both sides of yachting in almost every professional capacity it offers. At sea, crew and then captain: superyacht expeditions in the Amazon and the Antarctic, the Pacific, the Middle East, and the superyacht and classic regatta circuits on both sides of the Atlantic. Ashore: Dockmaster at Antigua Yacht Club Marina, managing director of a provisioning company in France, founder of Brazil Yacht Services and president of the Brazilian Superyacht Association.
It began as a one-year sabbatical — an Antarctic passage to South Georgia, no fixed return date — and turned into two decades. Technology was there throughout: a start at IBM in the early 2000s, software built for every business he ran, conversational systems as early as 2016, and talks on AI agents at yachting events by 2024.
YachtingStack is what twenty years of the same operational friction adds up to, met by a technology finally able to remove it: systems built by people who have stood a watch, provisioned a charter and closed a shipyard invoice.
